Security Unit

The University Security Unit is under the office of the Vice-Chancellor. The security Department of Hallmark University provides 24-hour services to protect lives and properties in the University. The Unit is dedicated to ensuring the safety and welfare of all students, employees, visitors, and other members of the University community by implementing the best security procedures that are consistent with the University’s vision.

The security personnel are well equipped and kitted out in their paramilitary uniform. The Department is equipped with cutting-edge security communication tools that promote communication and quick responses from security personnel to situations.

The unit is being headed by the Chief Security Officer and he is answerable to the Vice- Chancellor. The Chief Security Officer is in charge of the administration and operations of the unit.
The responsibilities of the unit are:

To ensure the maintenance of law and order in the University
To safeguard lives and properties on Campus
To function as a nexus for all issues concerning campus security
To make the university conducive for both academic and non-academic activities
To liaise with external security agencies such as the Nigerian Police Force and
Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps on security issues
To establish security measures to counter anticipated threats
