Hallmark University, Ijebu-Itele, Ogun State, has published a comprehensive policy review as a foundational step in developing the University’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Policy.
The review examines two instructive case studies – Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), representing the evolving landscape of AI governance within Nigeria’s private university sector, and Yale University, USA, representing a globally benchmarked model of AI governance in higher education.
The review finds that both institutions converge on a central truth: AI governance in a university is not merely a technical exercise – it is a moral, pedagogical, and institutional statement of identity. Its findings will inform Hallmark University’s forthcoming AI Governance Policy framework.
